ABEA Hands-On Laryngology and Broncho-Esophagology Workshop

The American Broncho-Esophagological Association is sponsoring a hands-on workshop to enhance participant ability and knowledge of laryngeal procedures. Office procedures often require two clinicians, with the assistant being almost as important as the surgeon. Both surgeon and assistant require the knowledge of the technology being used, the procedure goals and the potential pitfalls.
The course will be a combination of didactics, to explain both basic techniques and advanced pearls, as well as hands-on time with experienced laryngologists to better familiarize themselves with the equipment, methods and nuances.

Who can attend?
This course is designed both for practicing and laryngologist and otolaryngologist look to expand their office-based laryngeal procedure knowledge, as well as allied health providers who routinely participate in these procedures.
The course will be open to practicing otolaryngologists, residents, speech-language pathologists, physician assistance and other allied health providers.
What will I learn?
The participants should leave the course with more confidence in both patient and procedure selection, patient preparation/anesthesia, equipment operation and techniques and post-procedure care and expectations
What is the cost?
- $100 for Attending Otolaryngologists
- $75 for PAs and Nurses/Other
- $50 for Residents and Fellows
